Important Tax Information for Dealers/Tableholders

The State of New Jersey requires that dealers be registered with the DIVISION OF TAXATION; Charge and collect sales tax on all taxable sales; remit such taxes to the NEW JERSEY DIVISION OF TAXATION, attach your CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY to your dealer location.

The STATE OF NEW JERSEY DIVISION OF TAXATION has visited to Dover Show in the past, in the mid 1980's, early and late 1990's. Most of our tableholders/dealers were in compliance, those not in compliance either complied or left the show.  

WE DO NOT KNOW IF THE DIVISION OF TAXATION WILL VISIT OUR SHOW AGAIN,
BUT WE WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU PREPARE YOURSELF FOR THEIR VISIT.

As you may know, we have been operating this show for 25 years, and have always considered it a show for Trains and Train-related items. We have had people complain in the past concerning the nature of the items being sold, of which were NOT TRAIN RELATED. We would appreciate that you do not bring and try to sell at our show the following items:

Star Wars Figures, Stuffed Animals, Beanie Babies,
Sport Trading Cars, Playboy Magazines
